List of WICA Proposed Projects

SheSpace

Executive Summary

As more women engage in consulting and digital professional spaces, the risks of harassment, abuse, and unsafe interactions continue to grow. These challenges not only affect individual well-being but also limit women’s full participation and advancement in the private sector.

Women in Consulting proposes SheSpace as an initiative designed to create a secure, dedicated environment, both digital and community-based, that protects women from harassment while supporting their professional growth. The project will combine digital safety education with the development of a structured safe space where participants can access resources, report concerns, and receive guidance.

By prioritizing safety and support, SheSpace will empower women to participate confidently in consulting and digital environments, fostering inclusion, dignity, and sustained engagement in economic activities.

Women in Consulting: Bridging the Supportive Framework Gap initiative

Executive Summary

The advancement of women in consulting and professional sectors is often limited not only by skill gaps but also by the absence of supportive frameworks that enable sustained growth, inclusion, and success. In Nigeria, many women lack access to structured systems such as mentorship networks, career support mechanisms, and institutional pathways that facilitate entry and progression in consulting.
Women in Consulting proposes the Bridging the Supportive Framework Gap initiative, aimed at establishing and strengthening the support structures necessary for women to thrive in consulting and related fields. This project will focus on building sustainable frameworks that provide guidance, resources, and opportunities for professional advancement.
By addressing these systemic gaps, the initiative will enhance women’s participation, improve retention in professional spaces, and contribute to a more inclusive and productive private sector.

Consultants Climate Resilience

Executive Summary

Climate change poses a significant threat to economic stability, business continuity, and sustainable development in Nigeria. Increasing environmental risks including flooding, extreme weather events, and resource scarcity- are already impacting businesses, livelihoods, and productivity. However, there is a growing need for professionals equipped with the skills to help organizations adapt and respond effectively to these challenges.
Women in Consulting proposes the Consultants Climate Resilience initiative, aimed at building the capacity of youth and women to provide climate resilience and sustainability advisory services. This project will equip participants with the knowledge and tools required to support businesses and communities in adapting to climate-related risks.
By strengthening human capital in climate resilience consulting, this initiative will contribute to building a more adaptive private sector, enhancing economic stability, and supporting sustainable and inclusive development in Nigeria.

Managing Work-Life Balance

Executive Summary

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential for productivity, well-being, and long-term professional success. However, increasing work demands, economic pressures, and evolving workplace expectations have made it difficult for many individuals—particularly women and young professionals—to effectively balance personal and professional responsibilities.

Women in Consulting proposes the Managing Work-Life Balance initiative, a targeted program designed to equip youth and women with the skills, strategies, and tools needed to achieve sustainable work-life integration. This project will focus on improving productivity, reducing burnout, and enhancing overall well-being through structured training and practical guidance.

By promoting healthier work practices and personal well-being, this initiative will contribute to a more productive workforce, stronger professional performance, and improved quality of life.

Data Monitoring and Research Process

Executive Summary

Effective program implementation and sustainable impact depend on strong data monitoring and research systems. In many development initiatives across Nigeria, limited capacity for systematic data collection, analysis, and utilization continues to hinder performance, accountability, and long-term effectiveness.

Women in Consulting proposes a structured Data Monitoring and Research Process designed to strengthen how data is collected, analyzed, and applied within programs targeting youth and women. This initiative will establish a clear, results-driven framework for tracking progress, measuring outcomes, and generating insights that support inclusive economic growth.

By embedding data-driven practices into program implementation, this project will enhance transparency, improve decision-making, and ensure that interventions are both impactful and scalable.
